A tiny bit about me ...

I was born on Wednesday, October 25, 2000 at Seton Northwest Hospital in Austin, TX. My mommy, daddy and big brother Nathan, were very happy to finally meet me. Sara weighed 7lbs 2oz, and was 18.5" long at birth. Thanks to the assistance of Dr. Silverberg at Texas Fertility Center, I became the glimmer in my family's eyes back in late February 2000. This wonderful news was everything they were waiting for. After a rough road, and a long couple of months of my mommy dealing with a crummy diet and insulin dependent gestational diabetes, I'll be coming out shortly.

My due date really isn't till November 3, 2000, but we're not going to wait that long. Like my brother, Nathan, I also came out the the side door via c-section, by Dr. Devin Garza (OB/GYN).

November 7, 2000 ... I'm in heaven with the angels now. Even the strongest wills of my parents, brother, family, doctors and nurses wasn't as strong as God's. More later when my parents are able to cope with updating this now memorial.

Sara born on October 25, 2000 lived or a short 13 days in Seton Neonatal care. Many doctors, many tests and a rough road during those days. Ultimately she was diagnosed with a severe genetic birth defects of CHARGE Syndrome. Sara's worst life threatening issue was her heart. Truncus Arterious was the most serious and ultimately required immediate attention. We left it in God's hands and opted or surgical repair. Although the doctors were miracle workers, her weakened body was unable to complete recovery hours after ther procedure. Sara had many of the features of CHARGE, eye, cleft lip/palete, ear abnormalities, and most likely retardation.
